April 20th, COMEDY NIGHT with DARYL MAKK, first ANNUAL FUNDRAISER 2012 Apr 20 poster R2.pdf.  We are making it a fun night and we've hired a REAL Comedian, Daryl Makk http://www.darylmakk.com/ who rides motorcycles and is super FUNNNNNNNYYY!  The guys at Toys 4 Boys are organizing/hosting the event at the Austrian Canadian Club.   Registration online is available

APRIL 17-22 Event update Fundraiser and SCHOOLS; Suspension, Trials & Endurocross!

Week of April 17-22!

• Suspension School by Ryan Peddie, April 17th.  I'm sorry that some of you were trying to register and I missed activating a date, so you can NOW Register online atwww.offroadmotorcycletraining.ca  This course is perfect for all levels of riders...from your teenagers that have never thought about or worked on suspension to the rider that wants to fine tune his suspension for the perfect feel for what ever type of riding.
• New bike? Kids upgrading to bigger bikes and clutches?  Brand new riders?  Women riders? Siggi will be training on most Wednesday evenings at the Blackfoot MX Track (Wildrose Motorcrosss Association).  He will be focusing on the novice crowd but certainly is open to any level rider/racer that want sto work on technical skills.  You will be ready to hit any trail after learning the tips/skills of rocks, logs, uphills and downhills.  Register online at www.offroadmotorcycletraining.ca  We MUST know you are coming as there is a minimum of 5 students for course to run.  Make sure you checkin on the day of the course as park is subject to closing depending on weather.
• April 20th, first ANNUAL FUNDRAISER of a different nature 2012 Apr 20 poster R2.pdf.  Individuals from the club and Toys 4 Boys Motorsports are working together to build a fund for Second Gear Club racers that are competing in International Events.  We are making it a fun night and we've hired a REAL Comedian, Daryl Makk www.darylmakk.com who also rides motorcycles but is FUNNNNNNNYYY!  The guys at Toys 4 Boys are organizing/hosting the event at the Austrian Canadian Club.   Registration online is available www.secondgearclub.com/events .  Mark your calendars and invite colleagues from work or anyone outside of the motorcycle industry...you don't have to like motorcycles to enjoy this evening.  Darin Bullivant, owner of the first Christini to roll in to Canada, gave me a sneak peak....wow! what a great looking biking, and I can't wait to see how it feels with AWD.  Christini 300EX 2 stroke will be on display at the Austrian Club for all of you to see. ChrisitniPhotoShoot 4-3-12.jpg  Lots of draws and prizes and a great evening of entertainment.  Wait till you see the 'Man Kit' draw, draws for Him and Her and so much more.  Bring along a bottle of wine and a toonie for the Wine Barrel....if your name is drawn, you'll be going home with the whole works!  Draws for $100 bills, best seat in the house, door prizes....fine wine & scotch tasting....oh you can't help but have fun! 

APRIL 15TH TRIAL CANCELLED DUE TO SNOW

Sorry folks, but it just keeps snowing and the forecast is quite chilly for tomorrow (-1), so we had to make the decision to CANCEL APRIL 15TH, 2012 TRIAL at Wildrose MX Park.

Trials School RESCHEDULED to April 21st due to snow.

Hi Folks, The snow is steadily falling here in Calgary and the Wildrose MX Park is officially CLOSED today, therefore, we have rescheduled the April 14th Trials School to April 21st.  Stand by for more info on the April 15th Trials Competition...hopefully the snow quits soon and the sun comes out!

• April 14th Trials School with Stephen Foord.  Overwelling response to this class with 20 riders registered (riders will be split into morning and afternoon classes) we know this will be a success.  Make sure you let us know if you'd like to have yet another trials school this spring. 
• April 15th is Round 1 of CMA Trials Series at Blackfoot (Wildrose MX) Park, Calgary - note that there will be a reduced gate fee for the competition.  Hot dogs & refreshments after event.  Registration online at www.secondgearclub.com/events Sign-in 10-10:30 AM, Start 11:00 AM.

Thieves steal AMRA Bikes & Gear in Calgary

 Jay Fox. President Alberta Mini-Road racing "Sad day for the AMRA" thieves broke into our storage Seacan and cleaned out half of our demo bikes, two kids Bikes and 15 + sets of our new Honda leathers for our Teen program. Still enough to left to run our summer program as we keep half our equipment in another storage site, Keep an eye out for our demo fleet and the Honda leathers please.
