May 13th is Round 2 of the A&E Racing & Marine Provincial Trials.
A new location on Lee Fryberger's private land near Warlow, AB (Brooks
area). Don't forget it's Mother's Day, so make sure you buy your gifts
and then head on out for a few loops around 8-10 sections in the
beautiful valleys/prairies of Wardlow. Preregistration is OPEN at www.secondgearclub.com/events
Directions from Calgary:
Hwy#1 East, south of Bassano turn East onto Sec#550, continue East
through 4-way at Rosemany. Cross over hwy #36, continuing east on
pavement, which turns to gravel. Turn left (north) at T-intersection at
hwy #876. Cross Steveville Bridge on the Red Deer River. Turn right
(east) approximately 500m past bridge on gravel (you will immediately
cross small green bridge over creek and climb out of valley). Turn
approx 1.5 miles, turn right at RIST crossroads (small sign says TAQA
NORTH 11-13-21-12w4). Travel approx 5 miles until you hit valley floor
(pink ribbon will direct you to staging area).
Directions from Medicine Hat:
From Hwy#1, north on hwy#876, west on #544 (1 mile), north on hwy #876
(pavement). Cross Steveville Bridge on the Red Deer River. Turn right
(east) approximately 500m past bridge on gravel (you will immediately

May 26-27 Hare Scramble TENTATIVELY RELOCATED to Whispering Pines (Waiparous).
Sorry for the changes but for all the dryness we had in Lethbridge,
there is excess snow in Invermere that has caused grief with setup and
approval. Therefore, we are hoping to swap the two events but we are at
the mercy of the Forestry to approve. Now it is a time crunch and
there is a crew out GPSing the course as I send this email. We have to
get all the info to the SRD by Friday with hopes we can finalize the
event. Therefore, get your camping units ready and wait for update.
